ROHS Certificate

ROHS CERTIFICATE

It is inevitable to have electronic devices in the workplaces where people work, in their homes and in every imaginable environment. The RoHS certificate is a certificate issued as a result of the analysis of whether there are products that are restricted or prohibited for use in electrical and electronic products. The RoHS regulation includes administrative, legal and technical regulations for the control of electronic items. Similarly, there are directives on regulations regarding the recycling and disposal of electronic wastes without harming the environment.
The fact that companies use a technology that minimizes the interaction of certain elements and products during the use of each other is a factor that increases their competitiveness. In this way, these companies obtain RoHS Certificate in order to increase their market reputation and image and to gain an important competitive advantage within and outside the country.

Rohs certificate; For brands that produce and sell electronic goods under their own brand, those who sell electrical goods produced by other suppliers under their own brands, and those who export or import electronic goods for commercial purposes.

Substances Restricted by ROHS Certificate

In the RoHS directive, the basic elements that have negative effects on the environment and human health and the maximum RoHS levels allowed to use them are listed below;

* Lead (Pb): Allowable value is 0.1 percent ppm. Lead, lead-acid batteries, cable sheath, electronic components, welding tubes, glass and cathode tubes applied in the electronics industry.
* Mercury (Hg): Allowable value is 0.1 percent ppm. Metals used in the manufacture of electronic devices are batteries, switches, fluorescent lamps, thermostats and lamps.
* Cadmium (Cd): Allowable value 0.01 ppm percent. Cadmium is used in electronic materials, pigments and car batteries.
Hexavalent chromium (Cr VI): Allowable value 0.1 percent ppm. Chromium-based forms that may have toxic effects or chromium VI.
* Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): Permitted value 0.1 percent ppm. They are flame retardants found in electronic home appliances.
* Polychrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): Permitted value 0.1 percent ppm. Flame retardants, printed circuits, flame retardant toxic emissions found in electronic home appliances.

How to Obtain ROHS Certificate?

The RoHS system stipulates the absence of harmful substances in electrical and electronic devices. Whether these substances are used in the product can only be understood by performing RoHS tests. The final product is sent to RoHS accredited laboratories as a sample and subjected to analysis. After the necessary tests are carried out, if there are no prohibited substances in the relevant product, the product can receive a RoHS certificate. In addition, reports are given according to the analysis results by checking whether the chemical ratios whose use is restricted are within the required ranges. There is a technical file description of the relevant analysis in the annexes of the RoHS documents. However, for products using plastic raw materials, raw materials can be sent as samples. Rohs certificate, transistor, connector, integrated circuit, etc. At the same time, companies that produce electronic materials can buy manufacturers that make printed circuit, semi-finished or finished products using these materials. You can contact us as EKOL Certification to get the RoHS Certificate.

ECOL CERTIFICATION

When you have the RoHS Certificate, you will have a document showing that there are no chemicals defined in the directive and dangerous for human health and environmental conditions in electrical products. Therefore, you can compete in the domestic and foreign markets, strengthen the image of your company and show that the products you produce are sensitive to people and the environment. We provide services as EKOL Certification for this document, which is of such importance. You can contact us to have detailed information.
