SOCIAL COMPLIANCE AUDITS
Social compliance audits are carried out under the name of social responsibility audit or social compliance audit in order to determine and improve the working conditions of manufacturing companies in the supply chains of major brands. Social compliance principles involve sensitivities towards solving deeper social problems such as discrimination, gender inequality, child workers and the rights granted to disadvantaged groups. With these aspects, social conformity offers approaches that aim to achieve many long and short term goals, based on solutions to be brought to the problems of people and the environment they live in from different angles.
Social compliance audits (or ethical audits) are audits where working conditions in companies are evaluated and reported to relevant parties in line with local legal requirements, customer expectations and industrial good practices. Audit is a systematic, independent, documented evaluation process in which compliance with the audited criteria is verified, objective evaluation is made and evidence is collected.
