WRAP INSPECTION
WRAP, which stands for the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production Principles and was established in 2000; It is an independent, non-profit organization focused on promoting and certifying ethical production worldwide. It was established to control the compliance of clothing and shoe factories in the world with local laws and ethical rules and internationally accepted laws. WRAP also indicates your organization´s commitment to environmental and social ethical standards, and refers to your responsible production. Responsible accredited production is the largest environmental certification program available worldwide, especially for manufacturers of products such as shoes, apparel and accessories. It is supported by 25 cross-country organizations, including the cross-country garment federation, representing 36 national organizations and more than 150,000 organizations.
The principles of WRAP included factory conditions, labor issues, compliance with customs and environment, which are essential standards. These principles consist of 12 elements. The WRAP Program audits and approves the reliable and healthy, humane and ethical production stages in the world with 12 determined principles.
The 12 main principles of WRAP are as follows; Compliance with Laws and Regulations, Forced Labor, Child Labor, Harassment and Abuse, Compensation, Working Hours, Discrimination, Health and Safety, Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining, Environment, Customs Compliance and Security.
WRAP Document Inspection Process Scope
The WRAP certificate is given as a result of the successful inspections made by the authorized inspection bodies. Thanks to the audit and the document given within the scope of WRAP, companies can gain international reputation and the number of customers of the company can increase.
A company within the scope of WRAP; The WRAP Principles are audited within the framework of Country labor laws, OHS Regulations, Country Constitution and International Labor Organization Principles, and the audit preparation process can take approximately 2 to 4 months depending on the company´s situation.
